The Y is a theatre with the fantastic ability to complement many types of events, including conferences, lectures, presentation evenings, workshops and perhaps the more obvious, music, dance and theatrical productions. The main auditorium is made up of clear floor space 12 meters by 13 meters, which can be left clear or set with a flexible seating plan. There are various seating options for downstairs in the main auditorium – i.e. rows, cabaret, cabaret with a dance floor and standing. The balcony has set tiered seating and can seat up to 140 people. Maximum capacity is 350 people. The stage is 7 metres wide (un-inclusive of the wings), and a depth of 6.5 metres. A stage extension is available if necessary. Two dressing rooms and two back stage toilets are also available. The theatre includes a basic lighting rig and basic PA system (only suitable for spoken word events). The Y has a team of fully trained Front of House Supervisors, to make your event run as smoothly as possible. Other Facilities Include:

Rooms can be booked for regular weekly meetings or one-off events for an hourly fee.
