Jenny Eclair: Because I Forgot To Get A Pension Tour
Date: Friday 9 May
Time: 8pm
Tickets: £15

After six years of writing books (OK one book), hosting radio shows, doing plays and the phenomenal success of Grumpy Old Women, Eclair returns with a brand new stand-up show. (Obviously she won't be standing up all the time; she'll need to sit down now and again to stop her ankles swelling).

So... expect lots of stuff about motherhood, sausages, the etiquette of alcohol, clothes rage, why parties are rubbish and the joys of cantering.

If you are going to treat yourself to a ticket, please laugh and clap very loudly, as she is a bit deaf and her hormones are all over the place. Men, accompanied or on the loose, most welcome.

WARNING - There will be a demonstration of live cantering with some low level show jumping.

Patrick Street
Date: Sunday 11 May
Time: 7.30pm
Tickets: £12.50 / £5 (age 14 and under)

Patrick Street, an exciting quartet of Irish musical virtuosos, are considered a supergroup of traditional Irish music whose heritage dates straight back to The Bothy Band and Planxty. Their recent album On the Fly marks the Patrick Street debut of respected multi-instrumentalist John Carty. Many of the band's new tunes are rooted in the rhythmic ebb and flow of the swift, rolling rural music of County Sligo - music on which both Carty and Kevin Burke were raised. Now considered two of the finest fiddlers of their generations, they team up for some thrilling sets of tunes alongside the bouzouki and vocal of Andy Irvine and the guitar of Ged Foley.

"Patrick Street are this decade's answer to The Bothy Band and Planxty: master musicians whose molecules have merged so intrinsically with the music that it's hard to tell musician and music apart." The Irish Times
