Young People

Foundation Learning Tier (FTL) programmes are for 16 – 18 year olds who want to get into further education, training or employment. FLT courses replaced e2e nationally in 2010. We offer: Residents living at The Y can access a range of education opportunities and support.

Clubs and Classes

Home to martial arts clubs, dance classes, fitness work-outs and drama, we offer lots of opportunities to get fit and learn something new, right in the city centre. See Clubs & Classes

Stuff for kids is included in the theatre and classes pages, but we've also got a page showing what's on for children

Schools & Colleges

The Y works in a number of schools as creative agent through the Creative Partnerships programme, designed to develop creativity in schools. The theatre also provides high quality performances and workshops for schools, colleges and excluded young people in Leicester as part of a wider programme. See Working with Schools for more information or What's On for upcoming events.

Meaningful Occupation for Adults

Our day centre for homeless people offers a range of learning and skills sessions such as home economics, IT, arts and crafts, creative writing and jobs club. See Homeless Support for more information.
