Our vision

These flagship services aim to reduce the risk of re-offending and prevent young people spending unnecessary time in custody. The projects support young people who have offended or are at risk of offending to re-integrate into society and obtain the skills necessary to address their offending behaviour.

Leicester YMCA developed this area of work with specialist staff in response to national research that demonstrated a link between the provision of stable supported accommodation and a young person's chances of offending and re-offending. Our model had been recognised by the Youth Justice Board and will be rolled out nationally, in partnership will YMCA England.
