There is a booking fee of 60p per ticket, plus an optional 55p for postage. Or you may collect your tickets from the box office.

Group Discount Rates

Groups of 10 receive the 10th ticket free. For cabaret seated shows, groups of 10 can reserve a table. The box office can arrange this for you.

Carer

If you are unable to attend the venue without assistance, we can issue one free ticket for a carer to attend with you.

Concessions

Concessions are available on selected shows with proof of eligibility, available for children up to 16, students with NUS, people unemployed and in receipt of benefits, senior citizens unless otherwise stated.

Tickets are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances. To be agreed with management.

Reservations

Reservations made via the box office will be held for 4 days or 1 hour before the performance start time, whichever is sooner, on provision of a name and telephone number. Bookings not paid for will be removed after this time. Reservations cannot be made via the internet.

Cheque accepted

Please send a cheque payable to ‘Leicester YMCA’ and details of your booking to the Box Office at the address above.

Age Suitability

Some events are suitable for specific age groups only. We try to provide accurate descriptions and recommendations to help with this. Please let our Box Office staff know if you require any further information.

The Y Bar

The Y Theatre is equipped with a licensed bar which is open during performances. Drinks can be taken into the venue. Proof of ID may be required. No children under the age of 14 may enter the bar area while alcohol is being served.

General Terms

The Y Theatre reserves the right to:

  • Refuse ticket holders entrance or ask them to leave the venue
  • Introduce or change special offers, ticket prices and fees
  • Change the location of a ticket without prior notice

Advance permission should be sought from the venue for the use of flash photography or filming equipment.

Ticket Options

The Y Theatre has a flexible downstairs auditorium and a fixed seating balcony. The auditorium can easily be converted to accommodate standing music gigs, relaxed cabaret nights or stalls seating in rows. Some events will be reserved and others unreserved, therefore it is advisable to check at the time of booking. For unreserved events your ticket will be designated for either the balcony or downstairs. Standing in the balcony is not permitted during performances. Please note that times given are ‘on stage’ times.

Your Data

We are part of the Leicester City Council ticketing network and your details will be held securely within this network in full compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Within our website you can choose to opt in to receive news, brochures and event information from us and can also choose whether you want to receive information from other relevant organisations and promoters. If you do not wish to do this we will only use your data to contact you in relation to your booking. We will not disclose any personal information to any other third parties unless allowed or required by law. All card payments are processed by Capita and we do not store or have subsequent access to any credit / debit card details that you provide to make a payment.
