As a charity donations are essential to providing services to our community. We have two new on-line facilities, which allow us to claim Gift Aid at no extra cost!

If you donate to The Y Advice and Support Centre, your money will go directly into providing services for homeless people at the centre.

If you donate to Leicester YMCA we will use your donation where it is needed most at that time.

Our brand new designer dress agency opens on 17th June 2010. Style is an exciting new venture created by Leicester YMCA in partnership with YMCA Shops to raise money for homeless young people in the city. It’s the new place to buy and sell previously owned designer clothes, accessories and quality high street items. The independently managed YMCA Shop in Leicester also donates profits to Leicester YMCA. So when you pick up a bargain you are also directly supporting your community! Good quality donations of bric a brac, clothing or furniture are gratefully received. Call the High Street branch to arrange free furniture collection. Shops also welcome new volunteers, please contact them directly.

Challenges & Fundraising

In 2009 employee Emma Knight took part in the Lutterworth triathlon to raise money for The Y's arts education work for children and young people.

In August 2008 our Chair, Neil Griffiths, cycled 1,000 miles from Lands End to John O'Groats. He raised sponsorship to provide a youth fund to help local disadvantaged young people reach their potential. This could be as simple as an outfit to attend an interview, a trip to an arts event or something bigger such as volunteering abroad.

In 2007 RBS raised £7,000 for Leicester YMCA by hosting a charity ball and sports events.

We support a voluntary school for deaf children and a girl's college in India, through donations from staff and friends.
