Steve's dad has Alzheimers. There's nothing he can do about it except remember the way he was. Steve has also been deaf since his teens but has new hearing aids so now he's gone through all the music of his youth. It reminds him of his dad. There's nothing else for it but to defy dementia, with music, songs and laughter.
‘Some shows move you, some shows make you laugh, rare showsmanage both – and occasionally, as with this, both in the same sentences.’(One4Review)
"Steve’s memories are necessarily bitter-sweet, but theshow can be taken as showing two fingers to dementia, defying the disease’sdefinition of his father to replacing it with his own – a three-dimensionalportrait of a real man, warts and all, but loved and loving." (Chortle)
