Adults Classes
Jiu Jitsu is a traditional Japanese martial art which relies on technique rather than strength to defend against one or multiple opponents of any size, weight, and gender. This martial art has survived the past couple centuries and morphed from a battlefield martial art to an effective form of modern-day self-defence.

You will learn how to defend punches, grabs, weapons, and more while you’re with us.

The style of Jiu Jitsu we practice at Leicester Jiujitsu is called Seishin Mizu Ryu Jutsu and we are affiliated to the British Jiujitsu Association GB and Sport England.

There is a good mix of men and women across a wide age range who train in our friendly classes and we welcome beginners and experienced students alike. All Classes are taught by experienced Black Belt Instructors.
Whatever your ability, our Jiu jitsu programme will allow you to easily get to grips with our system so you can progress to a solid standard. If you’re looking for self-defence, a new martial art, or a new hobby to gradually build strength and stamina, come to one of our taster sessions and start your journey.

Kids Classes
At Leicester Jiujitsu we pride ourselves on the high quality of instruction of our children’s martial arts classes.

At Leicester Jiujitsu we believe that martial arts are invaluable to children, not only improving fitness, coordination skills and general sporting ability but also teaching crucial life skills including a love of learning, self respect, respect of others, confidence and perseverance. Our traditional martial arts classes are Jiu Jitsu based – this is a traditional Japanese martial art which has a strong emphasis on self defence. It is a great holistic martial art which teaches strikes, throws, self defence techniques and much more. We have regular gradings through the year and invite parents and friends to come and watch the children gain their next belt.

Parents frequently report to us how much their child loves coming to martial arts classes, and also how they see a real change in their children through martial arts training. Children improve in confidence and self-belief as well as learning to concentrate and try hard; skills which really are really valuable at school and into adulthood.

We love seeing our students grow and progress over the years and now have adults training in our classes who started very young and have matured into fantastic martial artists.

If you are not sure if martial arts are suitable for you or your child why not book them in for a free trial class?
